How to beat Nori

  • Step out of the puddle as soon as Nori dives. The giant fish only lands after a delay.
  • Keep him from stacking fish. A Nori with a full stack has a much bigger Super.
  • Save a stun or knockback for when he hooks in on you. Stopping the grapple wastes his engage.

Common mistake: Using the Super with no fish stacked. It is far weaker than a Super thrown after a few hits.

Game plan

Nori is a very fast Legendary assassin who fights with a fishing rod. A quick tap swings the rod in a wide close-range arc. Holding the attack charges a hook cast that pulls him to a wall or an enemy, and at full charge he jumps over walls. Every hit catches a fish, and his Super, a dive into a puddle that summons a giant fish, grows bigger and hits harder the more fish he holds.

  1. Hold the attack to cast the hook onto a wall or an enemy. It is both your engage and your escape, and a full charge carries you over walls.
  2. Land rod swings to stack fish before you use the Super. More fish means a bigger splash and a harder hit.
  3. Throw the Super where enemies cannot easily leave, like a chokepoint or a target you just rooted. The fish lands after a short delay.

Drafting Nori

When to pick
Pick Nori against slow backlines that cannot escape a hook dive or a rooted Super.
Who to pair with
Pair him with brawlers that slow or stun, so enemies stay inside his puddle until the fish lands.
Ban or not
Ban him if your team has no stuns or knockbacks. Otherwise, play around his hook.
