FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Rosa is currently A-tier in Brawl Ball with a score of 82/100. As a Tank, Rosa absorbs frontline damage and creates space for teammates to push, making it a reliable pick when the meta favors Brawl Ball.
Run Plant Life as the default Star Power for Rosa — it works in most situations. Switch to Thorny Gloves on maps that punish your main weakness. For Gadgets, Grow Light is the standard active pick; Unfriendly Bushes is situationally better on specific map types. Speed and Shield Gears are the standard choice.
Rosa struggles against Emz and Charlie, who can out-trade Rosa at the ranges or map types where Rosa is most exposed. On the flip side, Rosa consistently beats Piper and Bea.
Rosa performs best in Brawl Ball (A-tier, 82/100). The Tank kit — absorbs frontline damage and creates space for teammates to push — is directly rewarded in Brawl Ball, which is why Rosa climbs higher here than in other modes. See the mode ratings section for a full breakdown.
Rosa pairs best with Poco and Gene. Since Rosa absorbs frontline damage and creates space for teammates to push, teammates that cover the opposite role — whether that is frontline presence, healing, or ranged poke — create the most complete comp.
To play Rosa well, focus on Brawl Ball where the mode rating is highest, and lean into being a Tank that absorbs frontline damage and creates space for teammates to push. Run Plant Life as the core build, track Emz and Charlie on the enemy team, and pair with Poco and Gene when possible.

HOW TO PLAY ROSA

Rosa is a fast-moving tank who generates a protective bush around herself with her Super, absorbing massive amounts of damage for a few seconds while she continues punching at full speed. Her three-hit combo delivers substantial burst if all punches connect, and she is effective at diving into clusters to protect the gem carrier or contest zone objectives. She struggles in open fields where her Super bush provides no cover advantage and she cannot reach ranged brawlers safely.

Activate Rosa's Super defensively when focused by multiple enemies rather than offensively to extend an already-winning fight. In bush-heavy maps, her Super augments natural terrain, making her nearly unkillable for the duration.

PRO TIPS

Tank Game Plan
Position between enemies and your team. Your value comes from soaking damage, not dealing it. Choose Plant Life in most situations, switching to Thorny Gloves on maps where enemies can close distance. Charge your Super passively by staying in fights and engage with it to set up teammates, not to escape.
PRIORITY
Draft Around Counters
Watch for Emz or Charlie. Both Grow Light and Unfriendly Bushes are in your kit — learn which one punishes your counters versus which gives you an escape window. Use your Gadget early rather than saving it for a desperate moment.
MATCHUP
Best Team Shape
Pair Rosa with Poco or Gene when possible. Build toward Grasping Roots in safe positions — it swings fights instantly, so activate it when your team has the edge, not when you are already behind.
