FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Fang is currently A-tier in Brawl Ball with a score of 84/100. As an Assassin, Fang bursts down isolated targets and disrupts backline positions, making it a reliable pick when the meta favors Brawl Ball.
Run Fresh Kicks as the default Star Power for Fang — it works in most situations. Switch to Divine Soles on maps that punish your main weakness. For Gadgets, Corn-Fu is the standard active pick; Roundhouse Kick is situationally better on specific map types. Speed and Shield Gears are the standard choice.
Fang struggles against Charlie and Bibi, who can out-trade Fang at the ranges or map types where Fang is most exposed. On the flip side, Fang consistently beats Poco and Gene.
Fang performs best in Brawl Ball (A-tier, 84/100). The Assassin kit — bursts down isolated targets and disrupts backline positions — is directly rewarded in Brawl Ball, which is why Fang climbs higher here than in other modes. See the mode ratings section for a full breakdown.
Fang pairs best with Gene and Sandy. Since Fang bursts down isolated targets and disrupts backline positions, teammates that cover the opposite role — whether that is frontline presence, healing, or ranged poke — create the most complete comp.
To play Fang well, focus on Brawl Ball where the mode rating is highest, and lean into being a Assassin that bursts down isolated targets and disrupts backline positions. Run Fresh Kicks as the core build, track Charlie and Bibi on the enemy team, and pair with Gene and Sandy when possible.

HOW TO PLAY FANG

Fang delivers a flying kick attack that ricochet-bounces between enemies when the first hit makes contact, chaining damage across multiple targets in rapid succession. His Super lets him fly to any enemy with a long-distance kick and then chain more kicks between remaining enemies, providing exceptional multi-target burst. He is strongest in modes with many brawlers clustered together like Gem Grab where his chain kick mechanic can devastate an entire team.

Fang's kick chain only activates when he successfully hits an enemy with the first kick, so prioritize accuracy over rushing in. His Super can chain up to four or five times through a full enemy team, so save it for moments when enemies are clustered rather than using it to target a single isolated brawler.

PRO TIPS

Assassin Game Plan
Wait for a 1v1 opening before committing. Your burst is wasted against grouped enemies. Run Fresh Kicks in most situations, switching to Divine Soles on maps where enemies can close distance. Use Gadgets as openers rather than saving them — an early Gadget creates the isolation your kit needs.
PRIORITY
Draft Around Counters
Watch for Charlie or Bibi. Both Corn-Fu and Roundhouse Kick are in your kit — learn which one punishes your counters versus which gives you an escape window. Use your Gadget early rather than saving it for a desperate moment.
MATCHUP
Best Team Shape
Pair Fang with Gene or Sandy when possible. Build toward Dragon Kick in safe positions — it swings fights instantly, so activate it when your team has the edge, not when you are already behind.
