FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Meeple is currently A-tier in Hot Zone with a score of 82/100. As a Controller, Meeple denies zones and controls objective access with area abilities, making it a reliable pick when the meta favors Hot Zone.
Run Do Not Pass Go as the default Star Power for Meeple — it works in most situations. Switch to Rule Bending on maps that punish your main weakness. For Gadgets, Mansions of Meeple is the standard active pick; Ragequit is situationally better on specific map types. Speed and Shield Gears are the standard choice.
Meeple struggles against Edgar and Mortis, who can out-trade Meeple at the ranges or map types where Meeple is most exposed. On the flip side, Meeple consistently beats Bull and Rosa.
Meeple performs best in Hot Zone (A-tier, 82/100). The Controller kit — denies zones and controls objective access with area abilities — is directly rewarded in Hot Zone, which is why Meeple climbs higher here than in other modes. See the mode ratings section for a full breakdown.
Meeple pairs best with Charlie and Emz. Since Meeple denies zones and controls objective access with area abilities, teammates that cover the opposite role — whether that is frontline presence, healing, or ranged poke — create the most complete comp.
To play Meeple well, focus on Hot Zone where the mode rating is highest, and lean into being a Controller that denies zones and controls objective access with area abilities. Run Do Not Pass Go as the core build, track Edgar and Mortis on the enemy team, and pair with Charlie and Emz when possible.

HOW TO PLAY MEEPLE

Meeple is a board-game themed brawler who places game pieces on the field that deal area damage when activated. His Super charges multiple pieces simultaneously and enables a larger activation pattern that covers more area. He is an objective-control specialist whose pieces can deny zones without requiring his constant presence.

Place Meeple's pieces on chokepoints that enemies must cross rather than in open areas where they can be sidestepped. His Super enables multiple pieces to activate simultaneously, so space them slightly apart to cover a wider corridor rather than stacking them all on one point.

PRO TIPS

Controller Game Plan
Build your Super from safe positions and deploy it on the objective approach route, not reactively. Take Do Not Pass Go in most situations, switching to Rule Bending on maps where enemies can close distance. A Super that wins map control is worth more than one used defensively.
PRIORITY
Draft Around Counters
Watch for Edgar or Mortis. Both Mansions of Meeple and Ragequit are in your kit — learn which one punishes your counters versus which gives you an escape window. Use your Gadget early rather than saving it for a desperate moment.
MATCHUP
Best Team Shape
Pair Meeple with Charlie or Emz when possible. Build toward The Last Rulebender in safe positions — it swings fights instantly, so activate it when your team has the edge, not when you are already behind.
